Dr. Mohamed Bakr
Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Dr. Mohamed H. Bakr, was born in November 7, 1969. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt in 1992 with distinction (honors). In October 1992, He joined the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Physics, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. In 1996 he received the Master's degree in Engineering Mathematics from Cairo University. He joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in September 1996 as a Ph.D. student. He received the Ph.D. degree in September 2000. He joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Victoria in November 2000 where he is currently an NSERC postdoctoral fellow. He is interested in optimization methods, computer-aided design and modeling of microwave circuits, neural network applications, Smart analysis of microwave circuits and efficient optimization using time domain simulation methods. Mr. Bakr held the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) for two consecutive years (1998-2000). He was also awarded an NSERC PDF in April 2000.
